Here, Have a David Ives Play
The play is called "Sure Thing." You can find spoilers below the video. It's fairly faithful from what I recall to the script I've read. I'm going to hold off explaining this one, but it's good fun.

Here, Have An Awesome...BANNER AD?!!
So I was skimming Hackaday via Feedly today and up came a page asking me to support them by allowing their banner ads. Maybe I'm a sucker, but a website that asks even not-super-duper-nicely. Like Hulu, which--this is notable, I think, though I with no real advanced web programming wouldn't know for sure--still lets you see what you came for even when it can tell you're running an Adblock. Also notable: Hackaday is making an effort to include companies in its ads that are most relevant to its base.
But I digress.
The real point I'm going for, and the awesome thing that came out of all of this: Hackaday may be the first time I felt actively rewarded for doing such a thing, and possibly just by chance. But the first ads I saw after the ad allowance are better given in picture than in words:
I know what those ads say, but they might as well say "Allowed our banner ads? Have a kitten."
Awesome.
P.S. The company which made that awesome ad was FindChips.com.
P.P.S. I reloaded the pictured Hackaday to see what would happen ad-wise. Same company still (though it sounds like that varies some, maybe) but this other FindChips ad came up and deserves posting:

This is Adorably Terrifying
Yes, that is a lion hugging a person. The woman was apparently the lion's rescuer. You're welcome. (It's actually Corban who found this or was linked to it or whatever.)
Anyway, that was awesome.

LEGO Video Game Roundup: Terrific Terrans
We may not see LEGO Starcraft anytime soon, at least if this PCWorld article is right. But if you like Starcraft and enjoy a good LEGO piece, check out this round-up of some terrific Terrans.
Maybe they could go up against these guys by lights (no sample because of author restriction, but they're worth the click.)

Three Weird Sci-Fi Book Covers
Science fiction book covers can be so weird and wonderful.
Also, you could apparently do a gallery full of just H.G. Wells's The First Men on the Moon covers. I won't do that today; maybe another time.

Here, Have These Awesome LEGO Robots
Check out this set set of cute and emotive LEGO robots by Legohaulic. The brown robot's name is E-MOTE, and this was one of my favorites of the set, titled "Bashful."
The sheer scope of the stuff the little guy is involved in is pretty cool; as The Brothers Brick pointed out he was deliberately designed for emotion and poses.

Here, Have An Introduction
Dear Inquiring Reader,
We here at Here, Have An Awesome decided it would be cool to get a sort of log of our nerdly tastes and fancies. We thought it might be fun to put this on the "web."
We will cover: Games (card, board and video), music, funny stuff, animations, Ron Swanson, cosplay, LEGO, personal projects (where awesome and appropriate), books, philosophy, inspiring or thought-provoking stuff, cars, and so on. Depending on the thing, it's likely to be either a simple "Here, Have an Awesome," or that, plus some color commentary or thought on the thing in question.
We hope that you'll stay with us, and enjoy the ride with us through the awesome that we find.
